Kendra Jekel Photography was established in 2015 and is committed to using the power of photography to communicate the visual appeal of expertly prepared food and unique food products. I understand that each dish is as unique in taste as it is in appearance

Fascination about food, where it comes from, and how it is sustained has lead me to where I am now as a food photographer. I love the array of colors, textures, and shapes that food possesses, and capturing it all on camera is a passion of mine. From preparing fresh ingredients, to seeing a smile on the faces of my guests as they take their first bite, food is all about the experience for me.

I enjoy photographing food naturally and at its peak of freshness. You can find me frequenting local farmers markets in search of freshly picked foods. I like to cook seasonally and with local ingredients. I present my dishes as honestly as possible, and without the use of any preservatives or “substitute” products.

Being able to share my passion of food with others is my goal. I strive for my images to make others as interested as I am in the process of picking out and preparing the foods that nourish us.

My images are meant to create a hunger within the viewer and a curiosity about fresh and seasonal foods.
